Gaia Technologies are delighted to announce that they have been listed in world-renowned business publication, Inc. Magazine’s Inc. 5000 Europe list for 2015, which ranks the top 5000 fastest growing companies from across the continent.
The Inc. 5000 Europe list, which is the first of its kind in Europe, celebrates the fastest growing companies throughout Europe, based on turnover growth rates over a 3 year period.
Inc. Magazine initially published the Inc. 500 list 1982 as a list to celebrate the top 500 fastest growing companies across America; which was subsequently expanded to rank the top 5000. It is thought to be a prestigious achievement in America to attain a ranking on this list and it is hoped that this prestige will transfer over to Europe.
The bar set for entry onto this list ensured that only the highest performing companies ranked; in order to qualify for ranking, a company must be publicly held and, between the start of 2010 and end of 2013, they must have had a starting revenue of at least €200,000 and a yearend of at least €2,000,000.
In the 3 year period from 2010 to 2013, Gaia Technologies realised an impressive 65.5% revenue growth, growing from €11.7M in 2010 to €19.4M in 2013.
Gaia’s ranking on the list was number 4,712, which is all the more impressive if you consider the number of millions of companies across Europe. Out of the top 5000, there were only 235 companies in the UK on the list and, of those UK companies, Gaia Technologies were one of only thirteen ICT companies. In total, only 179 ICT companies across Europe made the list.
The Inc. 5000 list showcased Europe as a place to successfully do business; the number one ranked company, Sweden-based telecoms supplier, Swedenmobile, had a staggering 7,494% growth. To even make the list of 5000 a company would have had to top 33% growth over the 3 year period; a testament to both the performance of Gaia Technologies, and European business in general, during the post-recession years,
Anas Mawla, Managing Director of Gaia Technologies, commented;
“We knew that our performance over the last few years was impressive, but I am elated that Gaia have made the top 5000 list which, considering the size of Europe and the number of companies operating within it, is an even more impressive achievement for the company. I’m also pleased to say that none of our main competitors have made the list”
The Inc. 5000 listing adds to Gaia’s other recent achievements; being named as one of the 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain by the Daily Telegraph (in partnership with London Stock Exchange), and also being ranked in the top 10 in the Wales Business Insider Top 100 Growth List for 2014.
