The Gaia ‘3D School’ pilot, launched by Gaia & the Chinese National Institute of Education Science (NIES, part of the Chinese Ministry of Education) in April 2017, is designed to demonstrate classroom teaching using 3D technology and content to enhance Science lessons. Each participating school will nominate three teachers who’ll be trained on the 3D, help to develop and deliver lesson plans using 3D. The pilot is scheduled to last until Spring/Summer 2018.
"We are delighted that Dr. Liam Fox, Secretary of State for International Trade, was able to experience for himself how Gaia 3D immersive education solutions are used in China. We have been working with a number of schools in China over the past few years, and the LeQun Primary School in Shenzhen is a great example of how British innovation can motivate and engage teachers and students. At Gaia we are investing significantly in education technology and innovations for China and other key markets, and appreciate all the excellent support from the DIT teams around the world. "
