Gaia Technologies plc is pleased to announce that it has been selected by Becta (British Educational Communications and Technology Agency) with 15 other companies to deliver the new ICT Infrastructure Services Framework for Education. The new framework is expected to raise standards and save money as well as reduce the risk of ICT implementations in schools and colleges.
The framework allows educational institutions to choose suppliers from a list of companies that have been rigorously tested and continuously evaluated for adhering to Becta developed ICT national standards for education; offer better value for money through aggregation of supply; have a "service culture" approach to ICT support and are able to work with schools to deliver manageable and known financial commitment for partial or complete ICT solutions that can be integrated with existing investments.
Dr. Ayad Mawla, the Technical Director for Gaia has said that: "We are very pleased with the news. We were amongst the Becta Accredited Suppliers to Education announced in 2002 and the renewed selection confirms our commitment and ability to deliver the best standards in ICT for education.". Mr. Kevin Evans, the Sales Director, also said "We are very happy with the selection and whilst we offer our managed service across the UK, we are particularly proud to be the only Welsh company in the new ICT framework".
